Jimmy Graham No Longer a Saint?

For all of Jimmy Graham's career  he has been lighting up the scoreboard giving Defensive Coordinators headaches. But, after this season he may longer be doing this for the Saints. Jimmy Graham is in a Franchise Tag dispute with the organization. He is upset that he is Franchise Tagged as a Tight End when he mostly lines up out wide as a Wide Receiver.
In a  USA TODAY Sports article today, Drew Brees talked about how the Saints will be fine with or without the beloved Graham. He goes on to say that the Saints have put up big numbers over the last eight years under Sean Payton and Graham wasn't apart of four of those years.

In my opinion, I agree with Drew Brees. The Saints Offense has many veteran weapons and the emergence of the big plays of Kenny Stills shows us that with or without Graham the Saints will be okay. But it will suck to see Jimmy go to another team and watch him give Rob Ryan trouble. I hate to say this but if the organization can't make a deal with Graham, we still have Ben Watson to fill the void.

Saints Upcoming Season: Hopeful or Doubtful?

After losing in the NFC Divisional Round of the playoffs, the Saints look to have a better season. This may be hard due to the fact that Darren Sporles, Malcolm Jenkins, Lance Moore and many others who were key to our 2009-2010 Super Bowl victory have departed. On the other side of the spectrum, new defensive signings, Veteran Champ Bailey and emerging Pro-Bowler Jarius Byrd look to re energize the Saints Defense along side second year Safety Kenny Vaccaro. Other notable signings to improve the defense was Nebraska's Corner back Stanley Jean-Baptiste and Cal's Linebacker Khairi Fortt. Looking at film on both of these guys, its safe to say the Saints Defense is looking to get more physical.

On the other side of the football, the Saints High Scoring Offense look to keep it up when they drafted the speedy versatile receiver Brandin Cooks from Oregon State. If you ask me he looks like he will be the next Sporles. We will be able to put him in the backfield and spread him out wide. Defenses should have trouble controlling Cooks.

Overall, the Saints should look to have a great season after signing two well known Defensive Backs and new young offensive talent. Drew Brees should have no trouble finding the big play and Sean Payton will be able to sleep well knowing opposing offenses should trouble making plays with the new veteran additions.
